BABY SHOWER.... BUT THE BLESSING-WAY!

A celebration of  the mama-to-be and motherhood

Blessingway ceremonies celebrate the changes that unfold during a woman's pregnancy and encourages friends and family members to nurture the pregnant mother, creating love and positive energy which will follow her throughout her pregnancy and during labor.

Whereas a baby shower may focus on the baby, a Blessingway ceremony focuses on the needs of the pregnant mother.

The ritual involves a gathering of the mother-to-be most trusted female friends who she respects and values.

Within the circle of sisterhood woman share their appreciation for the mother-to-be and they shower her with love and words of encouragement.

Activities could be things such as

  • creating a labor & birth bracelet
  • creating a labor & birth candle
  • painting the belly
  • sculpting the belly
  • singing
  • reading poems & blessings
  • pampering and indulging the pregnant mama
  • feasting

The Blessingway is a powerful way to support the mum in becoming emotionally, spiritually and mentally ready for the passage to motherhood. It encourages her to trust that all she needs to know is within her.

The Blessingway can be held at the home of the mother-to-be or at an other cozy, relaxing and peaceful location such as Luxe Nova, an oasis in the heart of Hong Kong Central.
